The third room of the exhibition features photographs by
Kali Spitzer (Dene/Jewish). Kali was invited to document the historic gathering and traditional food harvest, preparation, and sharing convened by siyēye nii 'u tthu sut'ku'luts | siyēye tun’i ‘utl sqwun’u for extended family, friends, and witnesses at the northern end of Galiano Island in March, 2022.

While a focus of our two earlier gatherings had been on video recording stories of reconnection on land around Active Pass and Georgeson Bay, siyēye nii 'u tthu sut'ku'luts | siyēye tun’i ‘utl sqwun’u and witnesses made the decision to document this gathering at Dionisio Point in photography and sound.

In addition to a curated selection of printed images, a digital screen shows all the photographs taken that day.
